London event space No.11 Cavendish Square has completed its £250,000 refurbishment of the former Friend’s Lounge, which has now been transformed into the Garden Room.
The 18th century imitation textured wallpaper lines the walls of the room, while modern chandeliers imported from Italy are suspended from the high ceiling. The old flooring has been taken up and replaced by new carpeting.
“Following the successful refurbishment of the Orangery, which was completed in January 2011, we thought the adjoining Friend’s Lounge was a little tired by comparison,” said Commercial Director of No.11 Cavendish Square, Jonathan Morris. “We were also influenced by our courtyard garden and had the idea to bring the outdoors inside. ”
The Garden Room is adjacent to No.11’s 200-capacity Orangery event space and courtyard garden. The Garden Room can accommodate up to 100 guests reception-style and 24 people boardroom- or cabaret-style. The Garden Room is licensed for civil wedding ceremonies.
