The NHS Confederation healthcare conference will return to ACC Liverpool for the fourth time next year.

The conference is expected to attract 2,500 delegates across the event, which runs 4-6 June 2014. The event is estimated to be worth £4.7m to the local economy.

NHS Confederation held its annual conference and exhibition at ACC Liverpool, home to the BT Convention Centre and Echo Arena, in June this year, welcoming 2,500 delegates. Speakers included Jeremy Hunt MP, Secretary of State for Health, and Shadow Health Secretary, Andy Burnham MP.
The event brings together healthcare leaders from across the NHS to discuss the evolving NHS landscape and share best practice. Its previous visits to ACC Liverpool were in 2009 and 2010.

“Our decision to return to ACC Liverpool is based on past good experiences at the venue over the years,” says COO at the NHS Confederation, Matt Tee. “They understand our requirements which enables us to focus on the running of the event to ensure delegates enjoy a positive experience.”

The news follows ACC Liverpool recently confirming that four medical associations will return to the venue, including the National Cancer Research Institute conference in 2014 and the British Society of Gastroenterology in 2016 and 2019.

“This year’s NHS Confederation conference saw the space across BT Convention Centre and Echo Arena used to accommodate the 2,500 delegates for the conference and more than 130 exhibitors,” says Director of Sales at ACC Liverpool, Kerrin MacPhie. “We are already working with the NIHS Confederation to ensure another successful event in 2014.”
