A new sustainability consultancy, PlanIt Better, has launched today, 25 July.
PlanIt Better, founded by Christianne Beck (pictured), aims to provide bespoke sustainability consultation; offering strategic advice, knowledge and resource to help eventprofs achieve their sustainability goals.
Beck has over 18 years of industry experience and has previously worked with suppliers, agencies and brands to deliver large scale event projects across the globe.
Furthermore, she has worked with international stakeholders and clients to develop event strategies incorporating sustainability into live events; written sustainability policies for several different events businesses; and has worked with isla to implement TRACE.
Beck also has a qualification in Sustainability Essentials for Business from University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability, and she’s accredited to implement and audit ISO 20121: Event Sustainability Management Systems.
How PlanIt works
PlanIt Better offers the following services:
• Auditing: assessment of any existing sustainability policies, company resources, internal knowledge, supply chains and a client’s or customer’s sustainability goals.
• Policy writing and planning: creation of a sustainability policy and identification of the actions needed to meet sustainability goals.
• Tools and implementation: suggestions of tools to support change with virtual or on-site implementation support if needed.
• Training: education for internal staff, as well as up-to-date insight; connecting clients with the latest sustainability innovations.
• ISO 20121: internal implementation and auditing of ISO 20121: Event Sustainability Management Systems.
• Accountability: review of goals against practices on an ongoing basis, and regularly check in to assess accountability and progress.
• Continuous evaluation: help clients build out data for continuous improvement to meet and exceed even higher targets year on year.
Commenting on the launch, Beck said: “Considering sustainability in live event delivery is so important, yet it seems to fall down the priority list when we get busy.
“I’m very excited to get to focus all my time into helping busy events businesses keep on track with their sustainability goals.”
