New Solutions for accommodation at Wigan’s DW

Hotel booking and venue-finding agency, The Solutions Company (TSC), has been appointed this month as accommodation partner to the DW Stadium in Wigan. The move sees the agency expanding its services in order to work with non-residential venues across the UK in providing accommodation options designed to secure them a slice of the previously elusive residential events market.
 
TSC will venue-find and secure rates to be offered on to customers by the DW Stadium team as part of bespoke residential delegate packages.
 
“Solutions are what TSC is all about and in the case of DW Stadium, we are able to provide a solution that allows the venue to work with residential events and unlock the previously untapped revenue potential of this market,” said Lewis Howe, TSC Director.
 
“The key is that the customer receives one complete service. They will deal directly with the venue in all negotiations and contracting, while in the background we will ensure the best accommodation options and manage the administration processes. In effect, we work as an extension of the stadium team,” added Lewis.
 
Sue France, Head of Sales – Non Match Day, at the DW, said: “The dilemma for any stadium or non-residential venue such as DW Stadium is not being able to secure events that need accommodation. TSC provide that missing accommodation element in professional, seamless manner that allows us to compete for larger, residential events and can only contribute to a healthier bottom line.”
 
TSC is also offering the service to other non-residential venues and Lewis said announcements of working with other exhibition venues, sporting venues, historic buildings, museums and galleries were “on the cards”.
 
TSC said it was also offering a reporting tool that allows venues to quickly assess how much business they are providing to local hotels and gain a fairer picture of their true value to the local economy.
