Convention bureau Meetings & Exhibitions Hong Kong (MEHK) has announced the launch of the electronic Travel Trade Manual, designed to be a comprehensive tool for MICE planners to use to expand their knowledge about Hong Kong and utilise when planning meetings or events within the city.

Covering 152 pages, the manual presents easy-to-digest information about Hong Kong’s calendar of events, as well as the city’s diverse product offerings, history and culture segmented into 10 categories, including Events & Festivals, MICE, Travel Tips and Accommodation.

Dawn Page, director of the UK and Northern Europe at MEHK, said: “We have put together the Travel Trade Manual for MICE agents to use it as a planning tool and quick reference guide.

“While this provides a fantastic overview of Hong Kong, I still encourage agents to reach out to our office for further information, as well as to participate in any training programmes we offer.”

Earlier this year, MEHK launched the 2018/2019 HK Rewards Programme, which saw 11 new hotels added to it and giving details of complimentary offers such as drinks receptions, complimentary rooms and spa treatments.

Live Chat was added to PartnerNet in March, enabling agents to speak with a HKTB representative during Hong Kong office hours (1:00am to 9:30am UK time) and the My Hong Kong Guide app was rereleased in June to offer the functionality of five traveller apps in one.
