MPI UK & Ireland has announced that its Insights event will be showcasing a new ‘8×8’ format for 2021.
The new format means the event will have eight sessions all eight minutes long. The event will take place on 8 April on the OCTA platform, starting at 4pm.
The sessions are as follows:
Martin Fullard Interviews Simon Hughes and Rick Stainton
Martin Fullard, editorial director of Mash Media and editor of Conference News will interview managing partner of MCHA Simon Hughes and founder and group executive director of Smyle, Rick Stainton about the current state of the event industry and the One Industry One Voice campaign.
Cisco’s Successful Hybrid Event Models
European head of marketing at Cisco Live, Bruce Gerd, will share his experience of hybrid event models.
Heather Mason presents Strategy and Forward-Thinking
Heather Mason, founder and CEO of Caspian Agency will present a talk on event strategy and planning.
Events Can Be Good for the Planet
Founder partner at Warwick Events, Emma Wellstead will share her thoughts on how events can do good for organisers and participants, the local community and the planet.
Interview with Carina Bauer
Martin Fullard will interview Carina Bauer, CEO of IMEX, about what will make a great event in the world of hybrid.
Pivoting in a Pandemic
Angie Mason, co-director of Meeting Allstars, will explain how she and co-director Chris Parnham pivoted during the pandemic.
Safe Events in a Post-Covid-19 World

Closing Thoughts and Post-Event Networking
MPI UK & Ireland president, Judy Elvey and president elect, Susan Arslan, will wrap up the 8×8 minute event and provide closing comments. There will be an option for attendees to stay on and network with peers.
