MPI UK and Ireland launches smartphone App for members

The Meeting Professionals International (MPI) UK and Ireland Chapter has launched a smartphone app.
 
Created by GenieMobile, the App is compatible with a wide range of mobile and tablet devices and can be download from: http://showcase2.eventgenie.com/mpinewsapp.
 
Through the App members can access educational content, the latest chapter news and a link to the global MPI community.
 
“Member engagement through technology is becoming increasingly important,” says the VP of Communications for the MPI UK and Ireland Chapter, Lisa Owen. “The App has been designed to be a central information hub which allows members to keep up to date with the latest news, information and events.
 
“We’ll be developing the App to include a wider variety of content in future so we’re keen for members to tell us what they would like to see. Technology is key to the meeting and events industry and we hope the App will be a fundamental tool for members to keep in touch with everything we do.”
 
MPI has more than 21,000 members worldwide. The UK Chapter’s mission is to build a rich meeting and events community within the UK and Ireland.
