Ruth Bennett, UK Sales Executive at London and Partners, has joined the Board of Directors at Meeting Professionals International (MPI) UK and Ireland. Bennett was unanimously voted to take on the position of VP Membership while Louise Newton is on maternity leave.
“Ruth will be a valued addition to the board, and we are delighted that she has chosen to lead and support the membership committee in Louise’s absence,” says President of MPI UK and Ireland and Head of Sales at the Barbican, Samme Allen.

- Miguel Neves, IMEX – VP Finance
- Charlotte Baxter, MCI – VP Events and Knowledge
- Ruth Bennett, London and Partners – VP Membership
- Lisa Owen, Visit Manchester – VP Communications
The current MPI UK and Ireland Chapter board of directors will serve in their roles until July 2013.
The chapter will be going through the nominations process for the next slate year shortly. As part of this process, the chapter will be hosting a welcome and engagement event in London on 10 January 2013 (venue to be confirmed) which will provide an opportunity for interested parties from MPI membership, or outside the organisation, to find out more about how to get involved with the chapter on a voluntary basis.
MPI membership is comprised of more than 21,000 members belonging to 71 chapters and clubs worldwide.
