Meeting Professionals International’s (MPI) new Business Barometer study has predicted an increase in meetings for 2013.
The study, which provides industry insights for senior executives, meeting planners and suppliers to plan for the upcoming year, predicted a 3.3 per cent increase in meetings in Canada, 3.2 per cent increase in Europe and 2.8 per cent in the US.
It also predicted an increase in meeting budgets for 2013 of one per cent in Canada, 0.7 per cent in Europe and one per cent in the US.
“The big difference between the Annual and Bi-monthly Business Barometer is the annual barometer surveys the entire membership to give a comprehensive look at our industry. MPI’s goal is to support our international membership of suppliers and meeting planners and this report will provide every member data and tools to be successful,” said Cindy D’Aoust, COO and interim CEO of MPI.
This is the first Business Barometer to offer country and region specific data for the US, Canada and Europe, and the first report to offer supplemental tools, research and white papers to help readers address their specific challenges.
