Smart Group-owned London venue caterer, Moving Venue, has confirmed the creation of two core divisions.
With immediate effect, Moving Venue’s Venues & Events division will focus on its accredited and exclusive venue portfolio, consisting of long-standing relationships with London venues including the Natural History Museum (35 years), Kensington Palace (25 years), Science Museum (30 years) and British Museum (20 years).
Moving Venue has also launched a new hospitality arm that will oversee the company’s major events portfolio including Formula 1 at Silverstone and the Royal Ascot.
Moving Venue is accredited in more than 40 venues and has also worked at sporting events including Formula 1 at Silverstone and Royal Ascot.
The Deptford-based caterer, which celebrates its 40th year in business in 2024, was acquired by owner-operated hospitality business Smart Group in 2015.
The caterer has also made several senior management appointments. Ben Tobin-Paris has been promoted to deputy managing director of Moving Venue, Venues & Events. He will work alongside Lee Bushnell and Slav Adamek who take on the joint role of director of operations, with responsibility for the day-to-day running of the department. Kim Laley, group operations director for catering will continue to oversee Moving Venue with a specific focus on the day-to-day of Moving Venue Hospitality.
Finally, Matt Castleford has been promoted to senior event manager, as the business continues to champion internal promotions to reward exceptional performance.
