Over 200 event and industry professionals came together for Mistletoe 2013, celebrating Christmas in style at The Hop Exchange, London.
Hosted jointly by ISES UK, MPI UK & Ireland and Site GB, along with support from the Business Visits and Events Partnership (BVEP), guests partied under the theme ’Let’s go to the Hop’ and were transported back to the glamourous 50s and swinging 60s.
Brought to life with an impressive array of permers and interactive activities which included a special Lindy Hop dance troupe from Accelerate Productions, the return of the King of Pop ’Suspiciously Elvis’, sponsored by the BNC Event Show, serenaded the party as well as a visit from Celebrity Santa.
Entertainment also came from Luma’sinteractive graffiti wall with t-shirt printing and Yrsuce, Ice Box’s jukebox sculpture, and IdeasBox serving Winter Pimm’s and the popular Spanish dessert Churros from its Churros tricycle.
Christmas was given a twist by Richmond Creative Event Catering, who prepared and served buffet food including American chilli, turkey and cranberry sandwiches and Thai chicken noodle boxes.
The event raised £600 for Meetings Industry Meeting Needs and Jo’s Cervical Cancer trust – envelopes atop the Christmas tree were filled with prize giveaways for lucky recipients.
Theming, production and effects throughout the venue was created by The Hire Business, Off to Work, SLR, Well Dressed Tables, Sound by Design, Crewsaders and Minty Cloud.
