Fourty-three hotels and conference venues exhibited at the eighth
Midlands Consortium of Conference Organisers (MCOCO) exhibition at
Sixways Stadium in Worcester. The expo attracted hotel and conference
booking agents from Worcestershire, Warwickshire and the West Midlands.

MCOCO
is a group of independent venue finding agents and conference
organisers who collectively place millions of pounds worth of
conference, meeting and accommodation business in the UK.

“It
was a fantastic evening and a brilliant opportunity to put a face to the
names of the people we deal with on a daily basis. I would also like to
thank Sixways for hosting a well organised event that went off without a
hitch,” said BookOTel Chief Executive Simon Scott.

While
being a great way for booking agencies to meet so many venues all under
one roof, the evening was also a chance to raise money for MCOCO’s
nominated charity, Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC). On the night
just short of £1,000 was raised for the Ronald McDonald House in
Birmingham.

Kay Hodgetts from RMHC commented: “Each £25 raised
means that another family will be able to sleep safe in the knowledge
that they are close to their child while receiving treatment in
hospital. Thanks to the support we receive from our local communities we
are able to continue helping even more families every year.”
