Catch the MICE’s Stuart Mitchell says he is “delighted” to be bringing two new event management solutions to International Confex London this week.
The first solution is being is launched into Europe by David Wood (pictured), the original product design lead at Microsoft and now founder and CEO of Eventene. Wood has used his unique experience to take a fresh look at the event management technology space and expects Eventene to make its mark in the area of event management and registration software.
Mitchell describes Eventene as a real “David among Goliaths”. The solution is established in the US and is now using Confex as a platform to launch in Europe.
Confex attendees can hear Wood talk about his inspirational journey in the tech space and the unique nature of the solution in the Event Tech Theatre at the show at ExCeL London on 29 February 2024 – 13:15pm. He is only in the UK for a few days, so make sure you hear from him directly. The solution is suitable for events of all sizes and configurations.
The second solution is from Joi Events, an Australian company, which is launching its event app aimed at saving event planners time and money and it is the first time it will be on show in the UK. Starting at £30 per month, the easy-to-use app is targeted at in-house organisers, PAs and freelancers and smaller agencies who could benefit from an event management solution. It still has all the features that organisers should need but doesn’t allow direct registration. Data can be uploaded and then analysed in detail. Joi allows the whole team to work on centralised documents and move away from spreadsheets. Planners can build their programmes, manage agendas or event schedules, control budgets and publish to websites all from one central source of truth.
Rob Vass, co-founder of Joi Events, said: “Our mission is to ensure that every event planner in the UK has access to the tools they need to create unforgettable experiences. This app is a significant step towards democratising event planning.”
