Full-service events company, MICE Concierge, has launched a new sustainability initiative to demonstrate its commitment to “putting practical sustainability front and centre”.
To kick off its ‘Green Days’ initiative, MICE Concierge will host a sustainability workshop to help eventprofs meet their obligations when delivering sustainability policies.
The ‘Achieving Net Zero Carbon Events’ workshop will take place at Hilton London Metropole on 17 April. It will explore the complexities of delivering Net Zero Carbon events and provide guidance and practical solutions on how to effectively manage this challenging subject.
The event will be facilitated by Andrew Bowers, MD of MICE Concierge and it will hear from sustainability experts Anna Abdelnoor, co-founder and CEO of isla; Maya Mhatre, co-founder of Reset Connect London and James Rees, executive director at ExCeL London.
Commenting on the event, Bowers said: “Many organisations in our industry are expected to recommend and deliver ‘sustainable’ event solutions, but the whole Net Zero Carbon conversation can become very complex and often expensive. There’s a huge amount of information out there, but sometimes practical solutions are hard to define.
“We want to give our clients easy to use, well considered, credible services and ideas to help them make meaningful progress with sustainability frameworks and policies.”
To conclude the event, Bowers will host a fireside chat with Jessica Walker, director of sales, Hilton Hotels. She will discuss Hilton’s ESG policies and how they benefit all clients across its brands.
MICE Concierge will also launch two new sustainability services at the live event, which are yet to be announced.
