The Meetings Industry Association (mia) has revealed the individual names and teams who have secured a place on its annual miaList.
Individual wins included:

· Jan Denning – The Hospitality Partnership
· Jessica Southworth – Hotel Football
· Josh King – emc3
· Matt Merrick – Holiday Inn London, Brentford Lock
· Rachel Bradshaw – Wyboston Lakes
· Sam Morgan – The Venues Collection
· Sonia Jackson – The Grand Brighton
Team wins included:
· Best Destination Team – Conference Leeds
· Best Events & Operations Team – Wyboston Lakes’
· Best Sales and Marketing Team – The Belfry Hotel & Resort
· Best Venue Team – ACC Liverpool
· Team of the Year – emc3
Jane Longhurst, chief executive of the mia, said: “The mia has always known that the business meetings and events sector is brimming with hard-working and exceptional individuals and teams. The last year has continued to be challenging, so it was fantastic to have the opportunity to celebrate and shine a spotlight on the exceptional and committed talent working in our industry. Individually and collectively the winners have adapted and united as teams, continuing to go above and beyond the call of duty.”

Nominees were assessed by a panel of industry experts, including: Dan Stevens, managing director of Primary; Gill Smillie, owner of Conference Venues Countrywide; Robert Kenward, chief cheerleader of YOU search & select; Lacy Curtis-Ward, CEO of The Lensbury; Paul Southern, managing director of Central Hall Westminster; Julie Shorrock MD of Hotel and Travel Solutions and Sam Van Leeuwen, head of hotels and venues at PwC.
