The Meetings Industry Association (mia) has launched its latest Insights Survey.

Commenting on the news, Kerrin MacPhie, chief executive, the mia, said: “A key part of the mia’s work championing the business meetings and events sector includes proactively providing government with insights to help inform its understanding of the sector and guide its strategy to support it.”

As part of these efforts, the association provides the Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) with regular overviews of the sector’s key challenges and opportunities, in the form of quarterly Insights Reports.

“This quarter, following specific data requests, we are examining government support; investments; booking enquiries and lead times; staffing and recruitment as well as Martyn’s Law preparations and sustainability,” explained MacPhie.

“To ensure that the findings provide a true reflection of what is happening right now in the sector, we would be extremely grateful if as many organisations as possible could spend a few minutes completing the survey. Once the report has been compiled, it will be available for all to download from our website and the subsequent actions shared,” she said.

Event professionals have until 6 October to submit their response.
