mia helps the sector increase sales revenue with latest workshops

The Meetings Industry Association (mia) will be hosting two dedicated events to help venues and service providers increase sales revenue.

On 11 September business growth specialist trainer, Gavin Percy, will be addressing how venues can increase revenue and conversions by simply asking with his ‘Three Killer Questions’ when handling venue booking enquiries.

With nearly 30 years’ experience of working in the hospitality industry, the coach and mentor is convinced that if your staff stick to his winning formula, venues could see an increase in revenue by 20%.

This two-and-a-half-hour seminar, which takes place at the Manufacturing Technology Centre, Coventry, is open to both members (£25 + VAT) and non-members (£45+VAT) of the mia.

Meanwhile, on Wednesday 20 September, the mia is also hosting an interactive ‘show rounds to conversions’ seminar at Whittlebury Hall, Northampton.

The action-packed full-day event will cover conference and wedding show rounds and provide guidance on how to involve your operations team and how to use conversational questioning to identify your customer’s buying criteria.

Trainer Rose McDonald who has over 30 years-experience working within various group and independent hotels, venues and venue finding agencies, will be joined by Kevan Holland who brings a wealth of experience, having worked with key venues and agencies in senior roles within the MICE sector.

Together they will address the importance of confidence, planning and preparing for a successful show round appointment or walk-in and how to improve conversion rates. mia members (£175+VAT), non-members (£250+VAT).
