Last night, 13 March, the hedonistic party nightlife of Miami and Ibiza was brought to life in central London at the Sea Life London Aquarium.
Over 250 event professionals experienced two party locations in one night as they were ‘flown’ first class from Miami2Ibiza at the Merlin Events showcase.
Guests put on 3D glasses that produced psychedelic patterns when looking at lights or visuals on the plasma screen. The pool party got into full swing with ripped topless pool boys dancing and mingling beside the 3D pool; an amazing optical illusion and when a live club singer added her vocals to club classics.
As part of Merlin Events interactive campaign to engage with organisers through social media and to give guests the opportunity to shape the events they attend, partygoers were asked what they would like the Ibiza pool boys to wear: Classic Speedos or white shorts. White shorts won the majority of the votes and were worn by the pool boys on the night. Guests were also asked to Tweet their favoured Ibiza tunes to DJ Steve to be a part of his set.
Dish catered the event, Globestar Management provided the Troli Doli’s in Miami and the Pecs and Pearls pool boys in Ibiza, Theme Traders set the scene with the props, Off to Work provided the waiting staff, Ice Box produced a stunning ice sculpture, 3D Promo Optics provided the 3D glasses, DJ Steve from En Masse Productions played the music and VJ set.
