The Meetings Show UK has revealed plans for an exclusive Peer-to-Peer Networking Lounge for use by exhibitors and visitors to its inaugural show in July 2013 at Olympia.
Event Director Steve Knight, speaking exclusively to CN, said the idea was to provide an opportunity for exhibitors and buyers to meet in a private professional business environment away from the show floor.
“The concept for this lounge was developed by The Meetings Show UK’s Advisory Board and firmly endorsed by our Education Panel, who clearly defined the need for a specific area within the show where individuals can hold private meetings, away from the main show floor, exchange ideas and formalise business partnerships.”
The business lounge will be available to all pre-registered buyers as well as The Meetings Show UK’s growing list of exhibitors. Knight said each meeting space was designed with intimate meetings in mind and will include comfortable chairs, a table and Wi-Fi access, available for free throughout the show.
“As an event organised by meeting professionals for meeting professionals, it is vital we listen to our audience and provide the features they need to achieve the most from their time at The Meetings Show UK,” Knight said.
“Our focus is to create an environment where attendees can get the most out of their time, whether it be developing relationships with potential business partners or learning from the highest quality educators. The Peer-to-Peer Networking Lounge is the first of many features that will ensure our event is not only a success but also the place for the meetings industry to gather in the UK in 2013.”
