Author and CEO of Newtonstrand, Meshulam Golovinski, is calling on all “movers and shakers, industry experts, CEOs and meeting planners” to be interviewed for his latest book on industry trends and how the meetings industry is changing.
Entitled Events in 2020 – How do the industry movers and shakers envision them?, the book, Golovinski claims, is the first to be written based on the ‘wisdom of the crowd’ concept. Where will the events industry will be in the year 2020 is the key aim of the book and finding out what format the meetings industry will be in can help to show the trends of what is happening now and in the future.
It is the third in a series of books by Golovinski and due to be launched this year at EIBTM in Barcelona 2012.
Golovinski’s latest book will determine the key challenges in the meetings industry over the coming years as well as the key opportunities. How the industry faces these issues will dictate how the events industry will be in the year 2020, he says.
“An unprecedented level of interactivity is becoming more and more mainstream in the events industry,” says Golovinski. “As Generations Y and Z were born digital, using technologies like social networks in every aspect of their lives almost since they were able to form friendships is key to how future meetings will be run.
“Event attendees are already interested in becoming active participants and speaking at events themselves. They want to use more digital technology and social media at events as well as network with industry colleagues before an event. This trend will continue and progress.”
The other books in the range are Event 3.0 – How Generation Y and Z are re-shaping the events industry and From Gimmicks to Value – The Future of the Events Industry.
With a Microsoft background, Golovinski is the CEO of a technology software solutions company, which is now celebrating its 10th year in the business.
