London-based The Media House has launched The Graduate Conference Academy designed to provide selected, intensively trained graduates to the conference industry.
The company says it well select graduates predominantly from the Russell Group of Universities. They will then be put through a tough assessment with only the best chosen for free training by leading industry trainers and experts.
Guest speakers from some of the leading conference and media companies, including Incisive Media, Economist Group, Capita, IQPC and Terrapinn will provide case studies and insights throughout the programme.
At the end of each academy, there will be a Dragon’s Den type presentation of projects to senior directors in B2B media and conference companies who will be able to assess the pool of talent.
Graduates will then be available for internships or job placements.
The Media House MD Claire Wormsley said: “The future success of the conference industry will depend on bringing in bright, talented graduates. Currently, most graduates stumble across the industry by accident. This is a concerted effort to educate top graduates about the great opportunities which exist in the industry and provide them with relevant, intensive training to equip them to perm from the first day of their careers.”
The Graduate Conference Academy is running two courses in September, one for graduates looking to move into Conference Marketing and one for those looking to move into Conference Content Management and Production.
