UK-based international event planning company, MD Events, is extending its global reach to Latin America and the Asia-Pacific region, including Australia.
“Responding to our client’s requests, we are expanding our global footprint to be an industry pioneer with a presence on five continents to increase the company’s capacity to deliver meetings globally,” says Chief Executive Officer Miriam Dervan (pictured). “MD Events is aligning itself with the places where our clients are experiencing growth and want us to be present as well.”
In keeping with this initiative, the company has opened an office in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and will soon open an office in Hong Kong to service the Asia Pacific region.
Licia Andrade, the Latin America Operations Manager, and her team are located out of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Karen Dunham, based in North America, is driving Business Development in that region.
“We are also enhancing our global operating systems to deliver higher efficiencies and better streamlining which will result in improved response time, and customised proposals to enhance our relationship with our clients, irrespective of their location,” says Dervan.
