Grazing Events, event catering and party planning specialist, has announced the appointment of Ben McEwen (pictured) as head of business development.

As part of a newly created role, McEwen will be responsible for developing the company’s sales and marketing activity, as well as leading on relationship management and offer development. He joins from OfficeServe where he was previously sales director.

McEwen will report directly to Sam Hurst, CEO of Grazing Events and will also head all business development activity across sister companies Grazing Catering and Grazing Delivered.
Grazing Events, which is part of the Grazing group, was established in 2007 and caters for events across London. The company is a preferred supplier at venues such as The View from the Shard, Old Billingsgate and Glaziers Hall.

McEwan’s new role forms part of Grazing’s overall growth strategy, which recently included a £400,000 investment in new Central London kitchen facilities, as well as the appointment of Blake Henderson to the role of group head of operations.
McEwen said he was “thrilled” to be joining a company he describes as “incredibly ambitious and has invested a great deal in its people and systems”.
