Editor of CN sister publications Conference & Meetings World and Exhibition World, Paul Colston, was interviewed by CNBC News during International Confex at ExCeL London.
Colston, who is also former editor of Conference News, spoke about the impact of the Covid-19 coronavirus upon the events sector, and commented on the high-profile cancellation of the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
He commented: “Some people are taking an ultra-cautious line, and every organiser has the right to do what they think is best. In Barcelona, it was top of mind for some of the American corporates that some of the Chinese would not be able to come, and the incentive to do business would be weakened.”
