Manchester Central exhibition and convention centre was bathed in pink during this weekend in support of Breast Cancer Awareness month.

Overnight on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the venue was lit up in pink lights in support of the charity, Breakthrough Breast Cancer. The team at Manchester Central also got involved in a number of pink-themed fundraising activities for the charity including a Wear it Pink Day, a team quiz and a pink-inspired afternoon tea.

In order to create the pink lighting, Manchester Central’s facilities team worked through the night putting pink heat-proof gels in purpose-built wooden frames over existing light fittings.

“Being at the heart of city, I believe it is important for Manchester Central to lead the city’s support of good causes,” said Angie Robinson, CEO of Manchester Central. “The fact our team were so eager to get involved is a testament to the passionate people we have working at Manchester Central.”
