International hotel chain, Malmaison, is to re-launch its London property this November following a refurbishment to its 97 rooms, lobby and restaurant area.
The boutique hotel chain is bringing a slice of New York to Farringdon with a new urban room design concept and a new lounge bar and restaurant. The hotel features two meeting rooms and its Strip Bar has a private dining room for up to 14 people.
The hotel’s 97 rooms, including two suites, have been redesigned featuring stripped wooden floorboards, feature wallpapers such as exposed brick and concrete, bespoke furniture, and amenities from Anatomicals. The rooms feature the latest technology including smart screen TV screens and mini bars including treats from north London chocolatiers, The Grown Up Chocolate Company.
Street artist Xenz, in partnership with Lazarides gallery, has created murals throughout the hotel.
The hotel’s basement restaurant, Strip Bar & Steak, will specialise in New York Strip using a selection of USDA Black Angus Prime grade beef, hand-cut to order.
On the ground floor there will be a new lounge bar offering all day dining and a more relaxed drinking area.
In recent news, Malmaison has launched its new meeting and events offering, Business Bespoke. From September 2013, the brand is moving away from set meeting packages to a more custom built service. The events teams can arrange everything from a post-meeting whiskey tasting to ghost stories over dinner.
