UBM plc has confirmed the appointment of Lucy Dimes as CEO of UBM EMEA. Dimes will take up her position on Monday 16 October 2017 and will join the executive committee.
Dimes brings a strong track record of growing businesses by focusing on meeting the needs of customers in innovative ways. Most recently, she was chief executive of Fujitsu in the UK & Ireland. She has held numerous leading positions at BT, including global vice president and managing director of the BT/HP Strategic Alliance, and was instrumental in driving the strategic transformation in UK & Ireland for Alcatel-Lucent. At Equiniti she was responsible for driving digital innovation and operational transformation prior to their flotation. She also served as an Independent non-executive director of Berendsen plc.
Dimes’ focus will be upon accelerating the implementation of the Events First strategy in EMEA. We believe there are further opportunities to accelerate growth, improve efficiency and enlarge our presence in the region over time.
