The Head of Marketing and Events at The HAC, Diane Waldron, has been named as the Chair of the marketing consortium London City Selection (LCS) for the forthcoming year 2013-2014.
Waldron replaces Ed Bolling, GM at Ironmongers’ Hall, who steps down after a successful year as LCS Chair. Bolling will remain on the board for the forthcoming year.
“We have had an amazing year for LCS, with new members, highly successful events and excellent new business opportunities for all. I am sure that Diane will continue to lead the selection from strength to strength,” says Bolling.
Other new board member appointments include Robert Wetherell from Museum of London; Angela Myles from Holiday Inn Express London City; and Emma Brown from Doubletree Hilton. They will join existing board members Samme Allen, Anthony Hyde and Theresa Thompson, Barbican Centre; Sarah McQueen, Searcy’s The Gherkin; and Brendon Smith, etc Venues.
London City Selection is the only venue consortium to demand the MIA’s AIM accreditation from members to provide a quality standard for meetings and events buyers. Recent new members to join the collective include Holiday Inn Express London City, Whitechapel Galleries and Sadler’s Wells.
