Event management agency P&MM says the London 2012 Olympic Games have spurred an increase in enquiries for its events and communications division to handle London-focused events for European clients.

P&MM, which handled a number of Olympic client events for FMCG and financial sector companies for around 200 delegates (comprising Olympic events, restaurants, transfers and London excursions), have, during the games, received a number of enquiries despite booking Olympic-related client events more than two years ago.

Alex James, Client Services Director at P&MM, says: “In the weeks in the run up to the Games and during the events, we received a significant amount of enquiries for some of London’s leading venues from Excel to The 02 to many grand heritage buildings.

“These venues are proving stiff competition to their European counterparts. The fact that many of these venues were used as national Olympic houses showcased their many benefits and treasures to the wider world and we’re seeing a direct return of interest as a result,” he added.
