Liverpool Convention Bureau and ACC Liverpool will launch an online bidding tool at IMEX Frankfurt (22 – 24 May), streamlining the process of securing international and domestic conferences for the city.

Liverpool is one of the first destinations in Europe to offer the technology, which will be housed on an independent website, taking the place of producing hard copy bids for conferences making it a much greener option.

The tool will compile all aspects of a conference bid on an accessible, password-protected website, and will include easy to navigate sections on venue information, letters of support, transport and recommended venues for dinners or evening events. This website will then form the basis of an event website for successful bids, where delegates can access essential information regarding the conference.

“The online bidding tool is unique to Liverpool and is another added benefit for conference and event organisers, making the entire process easier, more efficient and greener”,  said Director of Sales at ACC Liverpool, Kerrin MacPhie.

The bidding tool will launch at the same time as the ACC Liverpool’s  Virtual Viewer, an interactive online virtual tool which showcases the venue’s conference and exhibition space, and MacPhie says both tools are a “further example of Liverpool’s commitment to embracing technology and enhancing client experience”.
