Lime Venue Portfolio is set to address sustainable food trends for events through its interactive ‘Quiz Show’ session, ‘What’s New in Food’, at Micebook Expo 2025, while also exhibiting, in collaboration with Micebook.
Micebook, the digital hub for global event planners will host its flagship event, Micebook Expo, at Convene Sancroft, St. Paul’s, London, on 27-28 January 2025, with the ‘What’s New in Food’ session from 2:15–3:00 PM on Monday, 27 January.
Jo Austin, sales director and sustainability lead for Compass Group UK&I, and Glenda Carlyle, senior sales manager at the Scottish Event Campus (SEC), will host the session, bringing fresh insights into sustainable food trends for events.
The lively and interactive format will tackle challenges in sustainable catering, such as why the events industry is moving away from beef, how eating venison can rival plant-based diets in eco-friendliness, why counting carbon matters more than counting calories, and the search for sustainably sourced salmon.
The quiz will offer event planners practical advice and innovative ideas to align food choices with sustainable practices for impactful, eco-conscious events.
Austin explained: “This isn’t your typical food talk. We’re breaking down complex topics in a fun, interactive way to empower planners to think differently about what’s on the plate. Sustainable food doesn’t have to be boring – it can be creative, impactful, and delicious.”
This announcement follows Lime Venue Portfolio’s launch of a new ESG guide series, which helps event planners integrate ESG principles into their operations.
Each guide focuses on one aspect of the ESG acronym: the ‘E’ Guide is already available, the ‘S’ Guide launches in February 2025, and the ‘G’ Guide arrives in June.
