RIBA at 66 Portland Place, the Grade II* listed home of RIBA, will temporarily close from June 2025 as part of a two-year modernisation programme, leaving just four months to host an event in the Art Deco building.

For nearly a century, 66 Portland Place has been a landmark of London’s architecture and culture and has hosted major events from high-profile awards ceremonies and product launches to blockbuster films.

The sensitive restoration of the building includes significant investment around accessibility and sustainability to create a world-class outward looking cultural institution that champions architects and architecture.

The team at 66 Portland Place will be delivering a pipeline of exciting events over the next few months for clients including social enterprise Well Grounded and market research company Kantar, and will soon be announcing a new Spring/Summer package perfect for team socials.

Thomas Morgan, head of venues and events delivery at 66 Portland Place, said: “We’re into the final few months before the House of Architecture transformative programme gets underway, so this really is the last chance to host an event in our Art Deco playground. The diary is filling up fast and dates are already limited so if you want to be part of our history, now is the time to book. We’ve also got some very tempting offers available for any last-minute events in February, March and April.”
