Kudos wins five-year contract at Hackney Empire

Kudos, one of the Crown Group’s event catering divisions, has today (20 February) announced the signing of a five-year bar, retail and events contract with the Hackney Empire. The contract is estimated to be worth £3m in total turnover.
 
Kudos will cater for events throughout the 1,300 capacity theatre and entertainment venue, manage five onsite bars; and seek corporate and private events bookings via its sister company Venue Reservations.
 
Kudos will also be managing what was formerly known as the Empire Cafe, a stand-alone high-street cafe that not only serves the venue’s customers but also the local community. The cafe will be re-branded as ‘Feed at the Empire Cafe’ and will be the second ‘Feed’ venture for Kudos, following the launch of a similar outlet at the Brighton Centre last year.
 
The evening events menus will be developed by Frank Bordoni, Kudos Food Director and former TV chef.
 
Kudos manages similar contracts at venues including the Royal Centre Nottingham and Derby Live.
