London’s Kings Place Events has completed its major investment programme into its event technology offering.

A new dedicated single mode satellite link to the roof now gives organisers the ability to use an outside satellite while eliminating the need for an outside broadcast truck. The venue says this minimises both the logistical and security risk to an event.

In addition, a new dedicated 1GB internet line has been installed for use during events where high bandwidth is critical. This facility also gives Kings Place in-house HD streaming facilities, including the ability to stream in multiple resolutions up to Full HD and even to mobile devices using HTML5.

“Bandwidth is becoming one of the most crucial parts of an event, and having the ability to deliver above the industry standard is paramount to any venue’s core infrastructure,” says Kings Place’s ICT Director Chris Phillips, who oversaw the investment.

“At Kings Place we pride ourselves on being one of the most technologically-advanced event venues in London” says Business Development Director of Kings Place Events, Lucy Wright.

In April this year the venue hosted the Summer Eventia.
