Keele University Events and Conferencing has announced a new senior team.

Emma Woodcock will lead the senior team as head of catering and events, following a restructure earlier in the year, which now also includes two new senior events and conference manager roles.

Sharon Faulke now leads the University events team and business development through partnerships with academic colleagues and Kathryn Cannell heads up conference delivery and commercial business development. Both Faulke and Cannell have over 40 years’ experience in delivering conference and events at Keele.

David Boothby, head chef, joined in 2020 and has worked closely with the senior team to develop a new catering offer for both conference delegates and university students across the catering outlets.

Jonathan Chambers, is the latest member to join the team in the new position of head of catering operations, leading the team at Keele Hall and University Catering, as part of the senior team within events and conferencing. He brings experience from previous roles in stadium and event catering and will work closely with the catering team on the operational delivery across campus.

Wider focus

Together, the new team will focus on “delivery excellence”, partnerships, sustainability and increasing the financial surplus to reinvest back into the university.
