Hotel group Jurys Inn says a new survey of its corporate meetings clients shows price is “the strongest influencer” when choosing where to book an event.
The group says it has launched a new day delegate package in response, Jurys Meetings, across its city centre hotels. It includes Wi-Fi, unlimited tea and coffee, lunch, stationery tool kit and room hire and AV.
Jurys Inn also claims it is the first international hotel group to receive Accredited in Meetings (AIM) accreditation from the Meetings Industry Association (MIA).
The Jurys Inn survey found that 78 per cent said price was the strongest influencer when choosing where to book an event, followed by location (66%) and service (49%).
A 12-point Service Promise is also part of the new delegate package.
The promise includes compensation for poor service (up to 20% of the price), a guarantee that all UK enquiries will be responded to within two hours of receipt, and a full brief to the event organiser 72 hours prior to the event taking place.
Jurys Inn Group Marketing Manager, Suzanne Cannon, said she wasn’t surprised to find that price and service were two of the biggest influencing factors highlighted by clients when booking an event.
“We feel the Jurys Meetings package gives our clients a clear understanding of exactly what is included without any hidden extras as well as offering great value and service. Our survey also found that 97.7 per cent of our business guests would either recommend or book another meeting at Jurys Inn, which for us is testament to the fact that we are ticking a lot of the right boxes for our clients.”
Jane Longhurst, MIA Chief Executive described the new offering from Jurys Inn as an example of industry commitment to raising standards, something that had been “palpable throughout the group’s AIM accreditation process”.
Jurys Inn has 24 hotels in the UK, one in Northern Ireland, six in Ireland and one in Prague.
