Johnny Martinez takes new role at CrowdComms and will chair EIC’s APEX commission

Johnny Martinez has been appointed chair of the Event Industry Council’s (EIC) APEX Commission. The Commission’s remit is to develop and implements industry-wide accepted practices and standards that create and enhance effectiveness and efficiency throughout the global events industry.

Martinez, formerly of event technology and registration specialists, UK-based Shocklogic, has recently (1 March) also joined CrowdComms’ account management team. 

CrowdComms is a tech company providing event technology software with over a decade of experience in the industry. 

CEO of the EIC, Amy Calvert commented on Martinez: “His unwavering commitment to the global business events industry, servant leader approach and innate curiosity make him the ideal person to lead the Commission and guide its important, far-reaching work.”

While Martinez stated: “I am honoured to lead the APEX Commission in their mission to shape the future of the events industry. Together, we will continue to create and implement standards that elevate our industry to new heights.”
