Jodie Guttrich has been appointed GM of the Breadsall Priory, a Marriott hotel and country club in Derbyshire. The four-star hotel is the oldest Marriott in the world, and Guttrich will now oversee the running of its 112 rooms, conference and meeting facilities for up to 140 delegates, two golf courses, leisure facilities and two restaurants.

Having worked for Marriott International for over 25 years in numerous job roles in six Marriott international hotels around the US, Germany and UK, Guttrich brings a wealth of experience to her new position in Breadsall.

Her most recent position was GM of the Sprowston Manor Marriott Hotel and Country Club near Norwich. During her time at Sprowston, Jodie saw the hotel through a complete refurbishment from 2007 to 2009 and helped it win several awards including Large Hotel of the Year and HR Initiative of the Year in 2007 for the Nolk Hospitality Industry Awards. Sprowston Manor also achieved the 2008 Midlands Hotel of the Year, the 2009 Europe Financial Excellence Award and in 2010 the Europe Associate Leadership Excellence Most Improved Award.

The original Priory became home to Charles Darwin and his family before being transformed into a luxury hotel and country club.
