Jackie Boughton is the new Director of Sales for The Hilton London Metropole. Previously Head of Sales, Conference and Banqueting, for Delaware North Companies at Wembley Stadium, Boughton oversaw the launch of the new arena and its growth over the last five years.
During her career Boughton has been shortlisted for conference industry awards, as well as taking an active role within a number of industry consortiums.
Boughton, who has over 35 years’ hospitality experience, tells CN: “I am thrilled to have joined Hilton London Metropole as it presents a whole new set of challenges and goals. The hotel is highly regarded in the conference and events market so it is a real privilege to now be involved in its operations.”
Hilton London Metropole is one of the largest conference hotels in the UK and Europe and underwent a £750,000 full refurbishment of its meeting facilities during 2012.
The hotel boasts two large conference suites, each with the capacity to hold 1,600 people and a third theatre-style suite, which can cater to 1,000. The meeting room refurbishment is part of an ongoing programme of upgrades at the hotel that will be continuing into 2013.
