One Moorgate Place has set 2018 off in style with the opening of its largest event space, The Great Hall. The celebratory launch on 25 January also revealed Searcy’s new Spring menu at this prestigious venue.
One Moorgate Place, also known as Chartered Accountants’ Hall, has been headquarters to ICAEW since 1893. The venue, a grade II listed building, exuding character, charm and heritage has a range of diverse spaces with a fascinating mix of architectural styles.
The Great Hall has been transformed into a modern space with wall to wall draping, floor length lights that illuminate the room with a twinkly glow if desired. The fresh, contemporary hall is a versatile space for conferences with AV technology and large projectors allowing for up to three screens so clients can adapt the space.
Sharron Gunn, ICAEW executive director said: “One Moorgate Place is a unique venue which brings together over 120 years of tradition with state of the art conference and events facilities. I am thrilled that after extensive refurbishment we can reveal One Moorgate Place’s Great Hall. It is a venue that retains an exciting blank canvas appeal which means this is a versatile space that can be adapted depending on the event.
“I hope everyone was able to enjoy exploring this captivating building and experience the unique mix of cultural heritage and contemporary and modern design to get a real idea of what an event at One Moorgate Place feels like right in the heart of the City of London.”
