The International Special Events Society (ISES) has collaborated with Tourism Ireland for a Twitter tour of Ireland. Based on the principals of a destination FAM experience, the tour will feature social media at its heart.

Designed to showcase Ireland’s variety and wealth of product for the creative events industry, the T’weetour, allows three competition winners and their partners to live tweet and blog during three mystery visits to Ireland.

“Ireland is a fantastic destination for the creative events industry; from ancient castles to little-known urban architectural gems and awe-inspiring contemporary design, our high standard of event facilities and great after-hours activities puts us in a class of our own,” says Head of Business and Sports Tourism (Great Britain) for Tourism Ireland, David Boyce.

He adds: “Inviting guests to share live experiences is a great way to showcase our culture and diversity in a dynamic and engaging way.”

COO at the Royal Aeronautical Society and President of the ISES UK Chapter, Jonathan Byrne, says: “We are delighted to be working with such a high profile events destination such as Ireland. We look forward to an inspirational and memorable visit that can be shared across the wider industry.”

The initiative will take place in June this year, and in order to participate entrants must be active social media users.
