The Event Manager of the International Outdoor Event Expo (IOEX) show has
said it will look to engage more landowners and technology providers for
its second edition.

UBM Event Manager James Samuel, who also
looks after the co-located sister show International
Confex at Excel London
, said the show is casting its net wider for
different types of exhibitors. “IOEX was born out of talking with our
show buyers,” he said. “With IOEX, we can widen the focus of our events
spectrum.”

IOEX
2013 will take place from 19 to 21 March at Excel London, with the
Event Hire Association (EHA) set to bring a new feature. In a bid to
promote the hiring of live event equipment over purchase, the EHA will
bring together a selection of its members to create the new EHA Hire
Village, showcasing their range of products and services in a real event
environment. This will double up as a networking space for EHA members,
visitors and exhibitors to meet up and discuss their events
requirements in an informal setting.

“The secret of success
within the event sector is how well companies work together to create
fantastic showpieces,” said Event Hire Association MD Graham Arundell.
“As it works so well for our client base then why not adopt the same
approach at exhibitions?”

Jonny Sullens, Group Director of IOEX and International Confex,
has expressed his enthusiasm for this development of the show. “It’s
important for us to highlight as many areas of the live events world as
possible at IOEX and equipment hire represents an important part of the
marketplace,” he said.

“We were delighted to have the support of
the EHA for our inaugural show last year and this expansion to their
presence is good news for all concerned. With IOEX and International
Confex we’re working hard to provide a one-stop-shop for the events
industry so this type of collaboration sits perfectly in line with our
plans.”
