UBM Live has promoted International Confex and Live Experience Event Manager James Samuel to Group Event Manager across its venues and leisure events portfolio.
The appointment follows the departure of former Group Director Jonny Sullens, who left UBM Live to become the first Head of Events at Future Publishing.
In his new role, Samuel will manage the Leisure Industry Week (LIW), International Confex and Live Experience (formerly IOEX) events.
“Since joining UBM Live last December, James has quickly become an important part of the team,” UBM Live MD Simon Parker said.
“His hard work and commitment to developing our meetings and events products has resulted in a rejuvenated International Confex and a fantastic launch last year for Live Experience. I have no doubt that James will bring the same drive and enthusiasm to Leisure Industry Week.”
