International hotel chain, InterContinental Hotel Group (IHG), is set to open the doors to its new InterContinental London Westminster this November.
The property is the first InterContinental hotel to open in London for over 36 years, and is located a short walk from Parliament and within sight of Westminster Abbey.
The hotel will inject a new lease of life into Queen Anne’s Chambers, a former government building, which played host to the Treasury Solicitor and The Brewers’ Society among others during its century’s long history.
Behind its townhouse-style exterior, the hotel is spread across six floors and will feature 256 rooms including 44 suites and a penthouse. It will also have 575sqm of meeting space, including three meeting rooms for up to 50 reception-style, on the lower ground floor.
The hotel’s bar Emmeline’s is named after the 19th Century British political activist Emmeline Pankhurst, founder of the suffragette movement.
InterContinental London Westminster joins InterContinental London Park Lane as the second InterContinental property in London.
