InterContinental London – The O2 has launched a new video service aimed at event planners.

The Greenwich Peninsula-based hotel has teamed up with Eventopedia Media to create videos for event planners showcasing the venue’s meetings and events facilities.

The hotel management says the launch comes on the back of a 20% increase in international enquiries. Germany, France, Spain and Italy make up the majority of the venue’s enquiries from Europe, while the United States brings in a total of 10% of business.

The video site inspection (VSI) showcases InterContinental London – The O2’s flagship 3,100sqm pillar-free Arora Ballroom, and provides insight into the hotel’s location on the Greenwich Peninsula and nearby Canary Wharf, London City Airport and Central London, giving event bookers the opportunity to see the hotel’s capabilities without needing to arrange a site visit.

The navigability of VSI allows planners to engage with the video content that most interests them.  The partners claim over 60,000 views of the videos from more than 5,500 unique visitors since its launch in January.

Elisa da Silva, director of Meetings, Incentives, Conferences & Events at InterContinental London – The O2, commented: “We’re excited to share these videos with our existing and prospective clients, both from the UK and abroad. They showcase the versatility of our event spaces, location, connectivity links in London, and leisure activities available in and around the hotel, allowing our clients to visualise their events even prior to their initial site visit.”

The VSI product goes beyond video to provide hotel sales and marketing teams with data on traffic, engagement, and content performance.

InterContinental London – The O2 is owned and operated by Arora Hotels.
