IBTM has revealed human connection specialist and award-winning author, Simone Heng, will be a keynote speaker at its flagship IBTM World event.
With a mission to inspire people to connect, Heng has shared her wisdom with organisations including the United Nations, Harvard University and Google.
Opening the main stage on day two of the show, which celebrates its 20th anniversary at the Fira de Barcelona from 19 to 21 November, Heng will deliver a session on ‘The power of human connection’.
Including in the line up will be Heather Gallagher, former chief technology officer and head of design at Burning Man, who will discuss how Burning Man grew into a global cultural movement without traditional marketing.
Goc O’Callaghan, global experience lead at Buro Happold, will discuss the global shift towards experientialism on day one, exploring how experience design is evolving alongside technological advancements and impacting the meetings and events industry.
Also on day one, Samantha Murray, intimacy coordinator at Sam Murray On Set, will lead a session on the importance of consent, sharing her expertise from working on high-profile film sets to help event organisers create safer and more inclusive environments.
On day two, Jules Griffith, director of sales & marketing at mccglc, will deliver a session on behavioural psychology, offering insights into how event professionals can adapt to the changing needs of modern-day delegates and design events that resonate in today’s landscape.
Additionally, Jimmy Knowles of Canva and Madolyn Grove of TikTok will share their expertise on building world-class event brands, emphasising the importance of brand equity in creating market-leading events.
