The International Baccalaureate Schools and Colleges Association (IBSCA), a non-profit organisation, has announced its extended relationship with Warwick Conferences, which will host its global teaching workshops for the next two years.
During the three-day workshops, between 80 and 120 delegates will be taught subject specific and leadership-based classes. The workshops aim to support both its personal and educational development.
Warwick Conferences will also provide catering and accommodation for the IBSCA workshops. It has also tailored its package to include more breakout sessions to enhance the delegate experience.
To help improve wellbeing of attendees and organisers, those visiting will be able to attend the University of Warwick’s new £49m Sport and Wellness Hub.
Activities will include indoor rock climbing, the gym and swimming. Other team-building activities, such as an evening quiz, will also be organised.
The workshops will attract visitors from around the world, including Japan, Singapore and Australia. Therefore, Warwick Conferences’ close proximity to major transport hubs, such as Birmingham International Airport is useful.
Additionally, its audio visual (AV) capabilities ensures that attendees can bring and use the devices that they are familiar with from home.
Martina Hedges, professional development officer at IBSCA, said: “Our workshops are crucial for the development of teaching staff from across the world and we are delighted to continue our relationship with Warwick Conferences for the foreseeable future.
“One of the main reasons for our continued relationship is the level of customer service, which is extremely important to us. From the receptionists to facilities, the whole team are professional, approachable and engaging, which helps to create a memorable workshop for all involved.”
Catherine Greenhill, business development manager at Warwick Conferences, said: “At Warwick Conferences, we are always looking at ways to take workshops, like those hosted by IBSCA, to the next level.
“With our new Sport and Wellness Hub, we can tailor breakout sessions or provide access to the facilities, to help improve the wellbeing of delegates. We are looking forward to working with IBSCA in the years to come and can’t wait to hear the feedback from delegates taking part on the climbing wall.”
