Following a refurbishment programme and change of ownership Exmoor-based mansion Huntsham Court has reopened its doors to events.
Available for exclusive hire, the events venue has five reception rooms including The Great Hall with its sweeping oak staircase, the Drawing Room, the Library, the Dining Room and the Sung Bar. The Library and the Drawing Room can be linked to seat up to 120 guests for banquets and events.
The main house, which is set over three floors, along with the adjoining garden cottage can accommodate up to 72 guests in 30 bedrooms. All bedrooms are individually styled in a shabby chic fashion and most have en-suite facilities. Three bedrooms are located on the ground floor and are fully accessible.
Clients are welcome to use their own suppliers and caterers or Huntsham Court can recommend local suppliers and staff. There is no charge for corkage or storage and guests have complimentary use of the house banqueting facilities including tables, chairs, linen, crockery, glass and tableware.
For teambuilding days, a range of activities can be set up inside the house or within its grounds such as fencing in The Great Hall, wine tasting in the Cellar or laser clay shooting and archery in the garden. Additional activities are also available in the nearby area such as sailing, rowing and adventure sports.
Huntsham Court is located on the Somerset border, close to Exmoor National Park. Tiverton is the closest large town and its mainline station Tiverton Parkway, which is just a 12-minute drive to the house, has a regular two-hour express service from London.
The house can also be reached by air, helicopters can land within the grounds or for those travelling by private jet, a private airstrip is located just three miles away.
During its soft re-opening phase, Huntsham Court has already hosted some high profile clients including The Accor Group and Ernst & Young.
