Hugh Dennis hosted UK venue website, Hire Space’s inaugural awards ceremony 24 October at Landing Forty Two at the top of the Leadenhall Building in London.
The BBC show Mock the Week and Radio 4’s The Now Show star hosted proceedings for an event attended by 220 event industry professionals.
Organisers said the new awards ceremony was a celebration of innovation and quality of service in the events industry.
Hire Space co-founder and COO Edward Poland said: “The Hire Space Awards celebrate the very best of the events industry by recognising and rewarding hard working, innovative and forward-thinking venues and event bookers from across the UK. The winners represent the best of the UK events industry.”
There were 250 award entries spanning categories such as Modern Venue Marketing, Modern Venue Sales, Most Popular, Forward Thinking Venues, Event Organisers and Unsung Hero.
Live music and entertainment came from Sternberg Clarke’s alternative string trio Ember.
