Ahead of its opening in the summer, Hotel Indigo Leeds has committed to working alongside a host of local suppliers, ensuring Yorkshire sits at its core.
Giving nods to the city and wider Yorkshire region isn’t just being reflected in the hotel’s interiors. Hotel Indigo Leeds is also leaning into the local community, helping to sustain and grow the economy through its choices of suppliers, as well as providing more personal Yorkshire touches to enhance guest experience.
This is also the case for the adjoining bar and restaurant – The Banksia – across its food and drinks menu.
Northern Monk has been selected as the brewery of choice, with other local spirits set to feature on the bar menu, including Leeds Gin, Slingsby Gin and Dutch Barn Orchard Vodka, as well as Maude Coffee for those after dinner hot drinks or as part of the hotel’s breakfast offering.
All of the restaurant’s meat will be sourced from Sykes House Farm, providing locally farmed, fresh, quality meat from less than 15 miles away.
Simon Grace, general manager at Hotel Indigo Leeds, said: “We are committed to responsible, community centred hospitality at Hotel Indigo Leeds, and feel it is incredibly important to collaborate with local suppliers for our offering in food and drink.”
He added: “Creating strong relationships and long-term partnerships with local businesses is extremely important to us, and these local collaborations allow us to enhance guest experience by making our visitors feel as though they are getting that truly authentic stay. As a fellow Yorkshireman, I know that local businesses in surrounding areas produce the highest quality products, and it’s a pleasure that we will serve these to guests from around the country.”
